The twins looked over the particularly unusual wrapping of the Valentine.
A trio of colors - purple green and gold - wound loosely around a pair of masks.
Or was it simply just a box of chocolates?
But then it wouldn't be heart shaped.
They had been reunited as a whole club - perhaps more as a family - across the ocean.
Having to adapt to actively participating in holidays, had an entirely new novelty in themselves.
"Why would you have a happy anda sad face on a package of candy?"
Including receiving gifts *just because*.
"Because everyone has their favorites,"
"And not everyone gets them."
Oh.
Selecting the first and biting into it; a signature piece.
"It is much like M'lord..." Hatrori remarked. "After all it was his idea - the solid foundation - by which this all started."
"I would've thought caramel," said Karou. "Solid on the outside yet sticky sweet..."
"Hunny is nougat then -" his brother interrupted. "Fluffy and a good balance for -"
"Coconut. Mori."
For once the twins were in agreement.
"Lime for Kyoya -"
"Lemon?"
For the chocolate may have muddled their taste buds. Though the mint representing "mom" cleansed thier pallet.
Yet the next was unmistakable.
"Cordial is Haruhi!" they chorused.
Only on the surface but they both appreciated the hidden treasure which they had come to apprechia-
"What's left?"
An odd expression exchanged between them.
They had gotten so caught up in their sugar rush psycho-analysis, the twins had forgotten themselves!
Tenaciously peering inside.
And a monotone of perhaps delicious irony with the revelation.
Said as one.
"Nuts."
Yes the line is from Forrest Gump.
But it's truely a bittersweet, lasting romance...
Perhaps early but keep a little of that innocence, durability and perhaps a bit of odd luck in your life.

Hahaha yes!!! :D That was priceless.  The poor twins :-) I like your ideas relating each of them to chocolate. :-) So appropriate for them!
